Originally built in 1990, the Centennial Building in Kent Wa., by architects Merritt & Pardini, became home to City of Kent’s burgeoning Permit Center and Customer Service department in 2001. Extensive rework of the main floor added a public interior “street”, providing interesting and easy access between departments, and a critical way-finding route that connects these departments to the historic City Hall building next door.
