Centennial Plaza is the historic outdoor gathering space adjacent to Montrose City Hall and is used year-round for public festivals, gatherings, ceremonies, and the weekly farmer's market. The Plaza features a band shelter, trees, lighting with banners, brick seatwalls, planters, sculptures, landscape shrub beds, informal boulder seating areas, and a water feature. The design highlights the diversion of the Gunnison River through the Gunnison Tunnel to provide irrigation to the valley.
