Pushing its prow into the wind and salt spray of Puget Sound, the Beach House affords the owner unrestricted views of the beach, islands and mountains; raised above its site on a boathouse at ground level, it purposely provides a pedestrian view through the site, from the street to the water. The form and materials of the house tell the story of a beach retreat cobbled together of disparate parts grown together in the fashion of local beach getaways.
